Get enough Silica:
Silica is a trace mineral that strengthens the body’s connective tissue, including cartilage, muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, nails and skin. If you become deficient in silica you may start to notice reduced skin elasticity. It’s naturally present in water and soil so green leafy vegetables are a great source.
Get enough Selenium:
Selenium is a potent antioxidant that is also responsible for tissue elasticity. Brazil nuts are an excellent source – just a few nuts per day will be enough to meet your daily requirement.
Get your Iron:
Iron helps improve skin tone – a few dried apricots will do the trick.
Get enough Zinc:
Zinc helps to build and repair our cells and tissue. This is important because our skin is in a constant cycle of shedding and renewing. Zinc also helps us to heal our wounds, and to seal up little cuts or burns. It is also helpful when treating acne and dry inflamed skin. In fact, acne may even be a symptom of a zinc deficiency.
Get your Omega-3 Fatty Acids:
Your body can’t produce its own stash of Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) so its super important to get them into your diet. EFAs repair skin and keep it supple and flexible, and can help ease dry and inflamed skin. - 3 fresh apricots
- 4 organic, sulphur free dried apricots
- 8 brazil nuts
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 2 cups of hemp milk
